lavola started out as an association in 1981, with the creation of the first nature school for teachers in Sant Andreu de La Vola.
1986 An environmental education team is created, a non-profitmaking organisation.
1989lavola is constituted as a workers’ cooperative to offer services such as campaigns to raise public awareness, the development of teaching materials and exhibitions, etc. In a short time, the environmental communication area is consolidated.
1992 The consulting services are incorporated.
2005 The company grows with the incorporation of the environmental engineering services. lavola is already constituted as an environmental services company, offering several services for sustainability in its 4 departments: Education Department, with the management of environmental education programmes, the Communication Department, offering the services of a communication agency, the Consultancy Department, working towards a more sustainable territory and a more responsible company and the Engineering Department.
The accumulated experience of the Engineering Department team was an added value for the construction of the new company headquarters: the EcoBuilding, an offices building with more than 1.000 m2, built according to sustainable criteria.
Everything has been possible thanks to the strength of a multidisciplinary team, working towards a more sustainable and respectful society.
